Jamaica: Jewish Refugee Assistance

JDC covered the transportation and support of 190 Polish Jewish refugees who were evacuated from Lisbon to Gibraltar Camp II in British-controlled Jamaica in 1942. In 1944, most of them immigrated to Cuba, Canada, the U.S., and other countries.
