Alabama and the
American Presidency
Drawn largely from the collections of the Alabama Department of Archives and History, this online exhibit explores some of the presidential visits to the state, along with those by First Ladies, vice presidents, and presidential hopefuls. The exhibit also recounts visits to the White House by Alabamians. Though a resident of the state has yet to ascend to that high office, this exhibit shares the interesting and unexpected ways Alabama and the presidency intersect.
