Flapper style did not dominate all of women’s fashion choices. Most women enjoyed new comfort as the use of restrictive corsets faded and dress shapes became looser. The simple wrap dress pictures here was handmade from a pattern and was worn for housework. Sears, Roebuck and Company offered similar dresses in their 1927 mail order catalog, calling them “apron frocks.”
